Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Canon Rock
http://www.trans-siberian.com

Advertise | AdChoices

I just finished listening to one of my favorite pieces of classical music -- Pachelbel's Candon in D Major -- but rocked up by Trans-Siberian Orchestra and with lyrics "This Night" added. Beautiful and moving.

If you're a bit over the politics and back and forth.....please stop by and post your favorite Christmas or holiday tunes (no what and how you celebrate) and any story behind them.

Thanks and Happy Merry Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, Festivus, December, etc.

I know its sappy, but I grew up w/Perry Como every Christmas. On the other hand, there are some that are pretty bad, also.

Bottom of the list: John Denver??

John Lennon's "Happy Christmas" is usually so overplayed that it tarnishes my view of all Christmas music in general.

I cringe whenever I hear any Christmas or Holiday music on the radio sung by Celine Dion.

That woman grates on my nerves.

LOL Don you mean Michael Jackson 2.0?

That man has had so many face lifts I'm surprised he can still talk and sing.

But good choice to add to the "Cringe List"

Every x-mas I go through my Brian Auger and the Oblivion Express collection. It good funky, progressive jazz with nary a hint of negativity in the lyrics. I met the guy before his gig in Boulder,CO and he a nice, spiritual guy and short like me.

The Vine doesn't impair me. I've been at MediaMatters for three years and still don't know the trick of posting from other sources though 'I'll live I'm sure. I don't compete against the world, I compete against my own ignorance. I Vishnu a Hare Krishna and a Happy New Year.
