And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the day the Earth stood still. Well, maybe it seemed like that but.....
Aren't those glorious sounding words?
When your teenaged kid--freshman in college, new 1st job, with a social calendar filled to capacity---admits that yes, Mom and Dad sometimes do know best.
Score one for Da Mami! Woot! Woot! Write it on the calendar cuz it probably won't be happening for a long time or ever!
And yesterday, she treated me to dinner and was happy and excited about her new job, showed me how she's keeping track of her expenses, asked me for tips on writing a speech, politics, her schedule for the week.
We talked about expectations now that she's an "adult." I said my peace. She said hers.
And, then, she said it again.
You were right mom. Can you give me a foot rub down when we get home my feet hurt from standing all day.
Just thought I'd share this that miracles indeed happen when you least expect them.
